About This Ghat
Brahma Sarovar (ब्रह्म सरोवर) is a sacred water tank in Kurukshetra, believed to have been created by Lord Brahma. It is one of the largest man-made water bodies in Asia. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Brahma performed a yajna here at the beginning of creation. The ghat is especially crowded during solar eclipses when bathing here is considered highly meritorious.
