About Garhmukteshwar - Ganga Ghat

Garhmukteshwar (also known as Garh Ganga) is an ancient pilgrimage site on the banks of the Ganges. The name means "Lord of the Fort of Liberation" - it is believed that performing rituals here grants moksha.

This is a popular site for Asthi Visarjan and Pind Daan, especially for families from Delhi-NCR and Western UP. The Kartik Purnima fair here attracts millions of pilgrims.
