About Triveni Ghat

Triveni Ghat is one of the most sacred bathing spots in Rishikesh, located at
the confluence of three holy rivers - Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. This is a popular site for
performing last rites, asthi visarjan, and tarpan.

The ghat hosts the famous evening Ganga Aarti, where priests perform elaborate ceremonies with
fire, accompanied by devotional songs and ringing bells.

Religious Significance

The confluence of three rivers is considered extremely auspicious in Hindu
tradition. Bathing at Triveni Ghat during auspicious occasions is believed to cleanse one of
all sins. It is also a significant site for performing ancestral rites.
